About Elephant Ears

Elephant Ears is the creative identity of Alfredo Paz, producer, songwriter, artist and audio engineer, with more than 30 years of experience in music, broadcast and live events.

For more than three decades, Alfredo has worked across music, film, broadcast and live events, helping artists, filmmakers, broadcasters and creative teams bring their ideas to life through sound.

Alongside his own artist project, Alfredo works as a freelance producer, songwriter, mixing engineer and audio engineer for independent artists, singers, songwriters and record labels, including the Singer’s Company, taking projects from the first idea through to the final master. Whether producing a record, co-writing a song or mixing a live performance, every project begins by understanding the story behind it.

As an artist, Elephant Ears creates honest, emotional music inspired by feelings, memories and the moments that shape our lives. Collaborating with artists from around the world, each release is an invitation to reflect, remember and make each song part of their own story.

Away from the studio, Alfredo continues to work as a freelance broadcast and live sound engineer on major productions and international live events. His career also includes recording studio engineering, film sound design and audio post-production, bringing more than three decades of expertise across every stage of the creative process.

Over the years, he has collaborated with artists including José Carreras, Jamie Cullum and The Black Eyed Peas, as well as broadcasters, brands and institutions including BBC, ITV, Sky, BMW and Oxford University.

Alfredo is a full member of the Music Producers Guild (MPG) and the Audio Engineering Society (AES). He holds university degrees in Film Studies and Sound Engineering and continues to combine technical excellence with a collaborative and approachable way of working.

Whether producing a song, mixing a live production or creating sound for picture, the goal remains the same:
